Why Bamboo?

Luxuriously Soft

We know it's hard to believe unless you've had the pleasure of touching it, but bamboo is one of the softest fabrics you are ever likely to feel! In fact it's so soft, it's usually likened to silk and cashmere.  You'll be glad to know that it doesn't carry the same price tag!

Moisture Wicking

Clever bamboo draws moisture away from skin, this means so sweaty babies and no wet material rubbing and irritating your baby's skin.

Anti-Bactierial and Anti-Fungal

Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial.  It has a natural property called bamboo kun that fights bacteria, meaning no hidden nasties hiding away in there.

Breathable

Bamboo fabric is breathable, this promotes healthy skin for for, it doesn't 'cling' or rub up against the skin causing irritation.  For eczema sufferers and those with sensitive skin, this is the perfect solution.

Temperature Regulating

Bamboo fabric has the magical ability to help regulate body temperature, keeping babies cool when it's warm and warm when it's cool!

Allergy Free

Many people are allergic to natural fibres, such as wool.  Bamboo very rarely has this effect on people.  In fact, it's quite the opposite! Bamboo benefits sensitive skin and is perfect for all skin types but is a dream for anyone suffering from eczema.

No Chemicals

Unlike cotton which is one of the most sprayed crops in the world, bamboo needs absolutely no pesticides, herbicides, fertilisers, (or any other chemical for that matter) to grow.  No sprayed chemicals gives us yet another reason to love bamboo- it's better for the environment!

Helps Block Ultraviolet Rays

A number of studies suggest that bamboo naturally blocks the harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun.  Whilst we wouldn't advise to use this instead of suncream, it's another layer of protections for that delicate baby skin.

Speedy Bamboo

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet, with some types of bamboo growing more than three feet every day!  As it's harvested, new shoots grow from it's extensive root system so there is no need for additional planting or cultivating.
